I think I may have a quad imbalance as my outer quads are much bigger and stronger so I've been loosening them off with foam rolling and trying to strengthen my VMO big time and it seems to be a helping a little bit, also stretching everything out. I had an xray which was clear on both, I've recently had an mri which the specialist said was also clear on both and thinks that it may be overloading causing the pain saying that if a cars being overloaded then you take it to a garage they won't find anything. It's strange because it can hurt just as much to do heavy weighted squats as it does to actually walk or just stand up from being seated.
